Atlanta Metro Bus Driver Forces Passengers to Pray

LeRoy Matthews, a driver for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), decided to pull his bus over and have a prayer vigil. While driving his passengers around he stopped the Metro bus, stood up and asked all of the passengers to join hands while he said a prayer. One passenger tried to leave the bus, but LeRoy blocked his way.

I’m not sure what the prayer subject was, but LeRoy Matthews felt that it was pretty important. The prayer lasted a few minutes and then LeRoy returned to driving and finished his route. One passenger complained about the incident, and LeRoy has since been suspended from driving for a period of 5 days.

I side with LeRoy in this case. If he if feeling called by God to say a prayer, it’s best that he do what God says. Not following God’s directions could lead to more than a 5 day suspension. Go LeRoy!!

I support Leroy. Obedience is better than sacrifice.
